2nd International Workshop on Fiber Optics in the Access Network
FOAN2011
Budapest, Hungary from 5th until 7th October
Important days:
Abstract submission: May 30, 2011
Paper submission: June 05, 2011
Acceptance notification: August 05, 2011
Camera-ready version: September 01, 2011
Description:
This workshop has a primary goal to present the latest research in the field of fiber optic technologies that are intended for the access part of telecom networks. In addition to this primary objective, the idea of the workshop is to gather, science and experts in the field of fiber optic technology in order to share their knowledge, experience and ideas but also the workshop is an opportunity for everybody to learn new things. Therefore, the workshop is planned to take place under the slogan "Come, meet, share, learn and enjoy Budapest".
Workshop is co-located with ICUMT 2011 (www.icumt.org), which is an important event in the world of Russian scientists in the field of telecommunications and control.
Papers accepted for FOAN 2011 would be published in IEEE Explore and characterized with relevant index (as EI). Also, Journal "Fiber and Integrated Optics" will publish a Special Issue based at extended version of selected papers from FOAN2011.
Previously FOAN (2010) was in Moscow (http://skaljo.com.ba/foan2010/program.html)
