2nd International Conference on
Sensor Networks and Applications

November 8-10, 2010
Imperial Palace Hotel
Las Vegas, Nevada USA

Sponsored by the International Society for Computers and Their Applications (ISCA)

The International Conference on Sensor Networks and Applications (SNA-2010) provides an international forum for presentation and discussion of research on sensor networks and their applications. The SNA-2010 conference will feature contributed as well as invited papers concerned with practice and applications. The conference also includes a Best Paper Award given for a paper presented at the conference. Papers will be accepted into chaired presentation sessions. The topics will include, but not limited to, the following areas:

On Sensor Network theories, models, security, and protocols: There have been deep research activities on sensor network theories and models. Their goal is to enable a sensor data query from hundreds of (even more) tiny, resource-constrained sensors. Interesting topics include:

* Congestion control and traffic models
* Data fusion / aggregation from sensor networks
* Information acquisition from sensor networks
* Mobile sensor and actor networks
* Network protocols and self-organization
* Security, Reliability, Fault-tolerance in sensor networks
* Underwater/acoustic sensor networks
* Other research on theories, models and protocols

On Sensor Network Applications: Sensor networks are envisioned to enable a series of applications such as environmental surveillance, healthcare, plant/building automation, homeland security, multimedia acquisition, and so on. Although sensor networks have been in active research for many years, realistic deployments have not yet seen widely adoption. The lessons and experiences from sensor network testbeds and real-world applications could greatly advance this technology. Topics of interests on applications include:

* Building automation / visitors' guiding system
* Chemical / gas leak detection
* Disaster recovery
* Environmental Monitoring
* Healthcare /patient monitoring /body sensor networks
* Plant / farm monitoring
* Pollution /air quality monitoring
* Vehicle automation
* Other novel applications

Instructions for Authors

Papers will be accepted ONLY BY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSION in PDF format. Please include a cover page containing title, author's name(s), address, affiliation, e-mail address, telephone number and topic area. In cases of multiple authors, all correspondence will be sent to the first author unless otherwise requested.

All submissions must be uploaded through this web site by JUNE 04, 2010:

https://cmt.research.microsoft.com/SNA2010

The submitted manuscript should closely reflect the final paper as it will appear in the proceedings, which will be a maximum of 6 pages (+ 2 pages with additional page fees) in ISCA format. (See http ://www.isca-hq.org/sample-isca-manuscript-format. pdf )

If you encounter any difficulties during submission or if you require further information, please contact: isca@ipass.net .

** Conference Proceedings will be abstracted and indexed in INSPEC and DBLP.

Authors wishing to have their papers reviewed for possible publication in the ISCA Journal of Computers and Applications should send by postal mail or email expanded versions of their papers directly to the Editor, Dr. Qiang Zhu (See Instructions to Authors at: http ://www.isca-hq.org/j-authr .htm ) .
